Lee Novak is another fine example of chasing your dream and not to give up, Lee attended several of our Sunday morning coaching sessions as a youngster he then went on to play for Newcastle and the now defunct Gretna, on returning to play local football Lee showed a great desire to improve and work hard he was snapped up by Gateshead where he scored a raft of goals, he is now plying his trade at Huddersfield Town where another geordie and friend of Star Strike Lee Clark signed him.

Paul Huntington played as a commanding centre half in the Newcastle Academy teams he then progressed to playing in the first team and at a very young age represented Newcastle in europe, he then signed for Leeds Utd and is now playing and indeed captain of Yeovil Town in League 1.His commitment as a youngster is now reaping rewards and Iam sure he must often think back to the days when 4 times a week he would travel with his father from Carlisle to attend training and play matches.

Liam Noble started his footballing career in the humble setting of The Lightfoot Sports Centre in Walker where he attended Star Strike Soccer's camps from the age of 4 to 10. He was a very slight lad with fantastic technical ability and a determination that belied his tiny frame. On numerous occasions he could quite easily dribble and beat much stronger and bigger lads. After signing for Sunderland (please forgive him!) he has enjoyed a very succesful loan spell at Carlisle Utd which has been topped by a Wembley winning performance this year.

John Campbell is a great example to always believe in your ability, John was an outstanding centre forward playing in the same Newcastle United Academy teams as Andy Carroll his career after leaving Newcastle took him to Manchester City unfortunately this didnt work out and he returned to play Sunday morning and local football. After a string of good performances several league clubs were after his signature after delibiration John decided to join Darlington earlier this year. His manager is already predicting he could have the potential and the ability to move on to better things.

Craig Baxter is now playing for Gateshead in the Blue Square Premier, as a young full back at Newcastle United Craig showed good technical skill and was also tough in the tackle. All the hard work he put in is now starting to show as he progresses in the proffesional game.

Andy Carroll played a starring role as a left midfielder under my management as a 12 year old at Newcastle United. As a youngster Andy showed a great appetite for the game and was always willing to listen and learn in his quest to be a top player and was a prolific goalscorer from the wide posistions! Iam sure it has been money well spent for Liverpool.
